28 August 2008 - The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, State of Israel wishes to inform that there are no job openings for foreign nurses in this country.  There is also no Jordan Valley Medical Center in Israel.  Filipinos are recruited for Israel as caregivers in household setting, not in hospitals.

This announcement is being issued in response to reports and queries from prospective applicants verifying the jobs offered to them by certain recruiters, to work as nurses for Jordan Valley Medical Center in Israel, which is nonexistent.

The Embassy has also communicated with POEA requesting that a massive information drive be conducted to avert the possible illegal recruitment of Filipino nurses.
