Step-by-Step Process for Applying for a Marriage License

Step 1: Filing of Required Documents

  1. Both the groom and bride must file the following:
    • Affidavit of Singleness (one for each contracting party).
    • Application for License to Marry.
  2. Pay the corresponding fee of NIS 100.00 per document.

Total fee: NIS 300.00

Note:

As required by law, marriage banns will be published for at least 10 consecutive days in the Consular Section and on the official Facebook page of the Embassy of the Philippines in Tel Aviv (https://www.facebook.com/PHinIsrael) to ensure transparency and accessibility for the Filipino community in Israel.

Step 2: Email Your Preferred Wedding Date

  1. 10 days after submitting the required documents at the Embassy, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the following details:
    • Subject: PREFERRED WEDDING DATE.
    • Details:
      • Full names of the groom and bride.
      • Preferred wedding date.
      • Copies of passports of two witnesses (maximum of two witnesses only).

Step 3: Payments on the Wedding Day:

  • Copy of Report of Marriage: NIS 10.00.
  • Marriage Certificate: NIS 100.00.
  • Solemnization Fee: NIS 240.00.

Total fee: NIS 440.00

 

Important Notes:

  1. The Marriage License is valid for 120 days. Ensure the wedding takes place within this period.
  2. Weddings are held at 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  3. Arrive at the Embassy 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
  4. Due to limited space and adherence to health protocols, only five (5) persons are allowed in the Consular Section:
    • The bride and groom.
    • Two witnesses.
    • One photographer.
