03 July 2011 - The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has recently received reports that undocumented Filipino workers with families have been detained and deported back to the Philippines.

The Embassy has met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel regarding this issue and has obtained its assurance that the law would be applied equally and humanely to all affected Filipinos, and that they would be given their full rights and protection as mandated under international law.
