The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel reminds Filipinos that only recruitment agencies duly-licensed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) are allowed by the Philippine Government to recruit workers for overseas employment.
The Embassy has received reports that certain groups/individuals are allegedly recruiting caregivers in Israel through the Internet or social media for caregiving jobs in the United States.
Recruitment activities by unlicensed agencies/individuals constitute illegal recruitment. The Embassy strongly advises Filipinos to be careful and to refrain from dealing with such agencies/individuals to avoid becoming victims of human trafficking and illegal recruitment.
