01 July 2014 Tel Aviv, State of Israel. The Philippine Embassy in Israel, in cooperation with the Philippines-Israel Inter Act Club, headed by Mr. Russ Pagarigan, and the Triskelion Holy Land, successfully held the first Ambassador's Cup 2014 9 Ball Billiards Tournament at the Lincoln Pool Club, in Tel Aviv, last Saturday, 28 June 2014.

Despite their hectic schedules, Ambassador Generoso DG Calonge and Vice Consul Ferdinand Flores attended the tournament and wished all the players good luck. Ambassador Calonge is an avid fan and amateur player of the game of billiards.

A total of 18 Filipino bilyaristas from all over Israel participated in the said tournament, with Mr. Bernard Tucay emerging as the tournament Champion; Mr. Laverne Gonzales as the 1st Runner Up; Mr. Edmon Sagucio as 2nd Runner Up; and Mr. Oscar Villaluz, Jr. receiving the 3rd Runner Up award.

Megaworld International and Korean Air generously sponsored the event together with Yad ba Yad and Daisy Khaled Jewelry Shop.

With the success of the recent tournament in Tel Aviv, Filipino bilyaristas are looking forward to another round of tournament in the very near future. --END--
