24 Jan 2019, Tel Aviv - - The Philippine Embassy in Israel hosted a Seminar/Workshop on Event Management and Protocol for Filipino Community Leaders in Israel on 20 January, as part of its efforts to help Filipino community leaders and partners in developing new skills and building a stronger Filipino community in Israel.
Around 20 FilCom leaders and partners, most of whom had experience in organizing community events, attended the seminar. Consul Reichel Quiñones, who organized the seminar, stressed the importance of planning and organizing an event within a set budget and transparency in the handling and disbursing of funds properly, with proper reporting after each activity.
Aside from the organization and management of an event, participants were given guidelines on protocol and order, including the proper handling of the Philippine flag. The seminar concluded with a short workshop, in which participants came up with sample event plans and critiqued each others’ project proposals. -- END
