07 March 2018, Tel Aviv – The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv conducted a seminar on the real estate industry of the Philippines on 05 March 2018 attended by around eighteen (18) Israeli and real estate experts, architects and engineers.

In his opening remarks, Consul General Randy Arquiza said, “Consistent with the rapid growth of the Philippine economy is the rise in the real estate demand in the country. In response to this demand, the Philippine government welcomes investments in real estate by foreigners by providing incentives to potential investors.”

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Judy Razonpresented to the group developments in the real estate industry of the Philippines, the sector’s contribution to the country’s economic growth, and the impact of the “Build, Build, Build Program” of the Duterte administration and the economic development that this project will bring to areas outside Metro Manila.

Ms. Ethel B. Lim, First Vice President for Sales of Megaworld International, who was one of the speakers, discussed different township projects being developed by Megaworld in line with the “Build, Build, Build Program.” She also gave a comparative analysis on the prices of real estate properties in the Philippines and Israel. The participants came to learn that return on investment in Philippine real estate can reach around 8%-12% yearly compared to only 2% in Israel.

Mr. Shalom Maidan, an Israeli investor in Ayala Land properties, gave a testimonial on the great potential of the real estate industry of the Philippines. He mentioned that his decision to explore investing in real estate in the Philippines in 2013 proved worthy. Over the years, he has seen how the country developed and what can be achieved by our continuously growing economy. Mr. Maidan encouraged the participants to open their minds when they visit the Philippines and consider the possibility of investing in a real estate property.

The group will visit the Philippines this April and will visit several township projects in Makati areas. – END –
