26 August 2010, Golan Heights- Filipino peacekeepers were once again lauded for their work during the Medal Parade of the Second Philippine Contingent to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) at Camp Ziouani in the Golan Heights.

UNDOF Force Commander Maj. Gen. Natalio Ecarma III, Guest of Honor during the ceremony, led the pinning of the UNDOF medals. He was assisted by Philippine Ambassador to the State of Israel Petronila P. Garcia, UNDOF Chief of Staff Col. Gurvir Kahlon, and Philippine Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Alexis Gopico.

Maj. Gen. Ecarma commended the troops for their professionalism, while Ambassador Garcia congratulated the troops for their excellent performance in meeting the challenges posed by the peacekeeping mission. A total of 343 Filipino soldiers were awarded medals.
