PEZA honored Ambassador Alberto and Special Assistant Razon with the Galing Pinas Partnership Excellence Award, in recognition of their contributions to PEZA’s investment promotion campaigns abroad, particularly in Israel.
Under Ambassador Alberto’s stewardship, the Embassy worked closely with PEZA in showcasing investment opportunities in the Philippines to Israeli partners. Such collaborations include the joint hosting of a Global Biz webinar for Israeli investors and Philippine firms engaged in various fields such as healthcare, IT-BPM, defense, and semiconductor and electronics. Special Assistant Razon, previously assigned to Israel as Third Secretary and head of the Philippine Embassy’s economic section, handled the arrangements for the webinar and conducted follow-up activities with the investors.
The Awards are part of PEZA’s 27th anniversary celebration held on 17 March 2022. Ambassador Alberto joined the celebration virtually while Special Assistant Razon personally received her award. Other distinguished awardees include Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana, Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Hjayceelyn M. Quintana, and Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss, among others.
Ambassador Alberto reiterated the Embassy's full support for PEZA's initiatives to attract more foreign investments into the Philippines, particularly as the country reopens its economy.
